From Mr. Glenn Crafts, David Ahern and Eugene Terrenzi requested an “E” Fishing Permit

OLD
BUSINESS:
Continuation of Mr. Tom Birch’s Show Cause Hearing from
A motion acknowledging: “Mr. Birch’s decision to request a
meeting with the Board of Selectmen without prejudice from the Waterways
Commission,” was made by Eric Winer, seconded by Paul Donovan. The vote was
three in favor, one abstention (Fred Clancy).
Continuation of Mr. Leon Pasani documentation for slip
assignment. The applicant and
his partner Robert Bogardus provided the requested documents.
A motion was made by Eric Winer to: “Accept the
Documentation and approve the Slip Assignment as requested”. Seconded
by Paul Donovan. Unanimous vote in favor of motion.
Continuation
of Mr. Michael Rubin Show Cause Hearing, was a no
show.
Continuation
of Mr. Stephen Sawicki Show Cause Hearing, was a no
show.
Harbor Master Tom Leach asked for a 30 day extension to
allow for the two individuals to have a full 30 days to
respond.
A motion was made by Eric Winer
and Seconded by Fred Clancy to: “Continue both hearings until the next
Waterways Commission meeting.” (
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussion about the request from three individuals for an
“E” Class permit.
Mr. Gene Terrenzi spoke to the
members about why he was requesting an E Permit for use
For fishing out of
The Waterways Commission accepted the four letters
requesting the E Permit and decided to add the discussion and decision at a
later scheduled Waterways Commission Meeting.
Discussion about the previously approved Waterways
Commission request by the Commercial Fishermen A Permit holders to extend their permits to
allow for more than 30 days per year for Charter Fishing.
The Waterways Commission previously approved expanded ““ requirements:
“A”
permit holders must request a “Waver” at a hearing with the Waterways
Commission for expanded Charter Fishing beyond 30
days.
Requirement
of compliance would be the use of a “Log Book” to record the actual charters.
This request will be presented to the Board of Selectmen
in October.
