ELIGIBILITY - Open to all monohull sailing yachts PHRF ratable.
PURPOSE - The Harwich Harbormaster's Office is here first to make sure that you are safe and secondly to be as helpful as possible. We are promoting recreational sailboat racing in the interest of educating the public in seamanship, navigation and boating safety. Racing develops all these skills and improves all participants skills in these areas.
LIFE JACKET RULE - All racers must wear PFD's at start and finish and may only be doffed with permission of the individual vessel captain whilst racing.
CLASSES - There may be up to four classes depending on size. There will also be a separte fleet for catboats.
AFTER RACE RESULTS - Saquatucket Harbormasters Office deck.
RULES - Racing will be in accordance with the International Yacht Racing Rules of the USSA.
SKIPPERS MEETING - NO SKIPPERS MEETING
Posibility of two short races or one long race
TROPHIES - Dependant upon the number of starters in each class; 1-4 entries 1st Place award; 5-8 entries 1st and 2nd Place awarded; 9 or more 1st, 2nd, 3rd awarded. Regatta instructions and scratch sheet available at Harbormasters Office.
